INSTRUCTIONS
01. Put your music player on shuffle.
02. Press forward for each question.
03. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING!
With a twist... I'm uploading some of the songs that show up.
How are you feeling today?
Invincible by Pat Benetar--Don't I always feel that way?
Will you get far in life?
Witch Doctor by David Seville -- Curious! Does this mean that I will become a witch doctor, or that in order to get far in life, I will need the assistance of one?
How do your friends see you?
She's the Blade by Sugarcult -- On this one, I was just hoping that it wouldn't be Meredith Brooks "Bitch". I don't think this is any better, actually.
Will you get married?
Against the Wind by Bob Seger -- Promising. Apparently getting married would be me going against the wind. I'm surprisingly okay with that.
What is your best friend's theme song?
Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer - LOL. Oh, Court.
What is the story of your life?
He Hideth My Soul, but I'm thinking hymns don't count, so... Yo Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me from Peter Pan.
What was high school like?
Are You Lonesome by Elvis Presley -- No comment.
How can you get ahead in life?
I Second That Emotion by Smokey Robinson and the Tears -- By making bad puns and converting them into hit songs during the motown era? I can do that.
What is the best thing about your friends?
Linger by the Cranberries -- Always there for me, and a hit Irish singing group, as well..... Okay, maybe not. But the first part is definitely true.
What is today going to be like?
The Child Inside by Qkumba Zoo -- I hope so. This is my all-time favorite get pumped song. It was used in a Sea World commercial and I hunted far and wide for it. Shut up. It was a very moving commercial.
What is in store for this weekend?
Bustin' Surfboards by Dick Dale & the Deltones -- Yeah, okay, why not.
What song describes you?
Devil's Dance by Metallica -- Yeah, okay, why not.
To describe your grandparents?
Strawberry Fields Forever by the Beatles -- Well. Certainly forever, I suppose.
How is your life going?
For Those About to Rock by AC/DC -- I can only hope this means that I will make a grand trek across the whole of Australia to scatter a beloved one's ashes over the hallowed ground of Bon Scott's grave and, in the course of doing so, form a cover band with my friends and find myself. I can only hope. Truthfully, I feel this somewhat sums up the place I'm at right now. I feel like I'm on the precipice of something amazing.
What song will they play at your funeral?
Fell on Black Days by Soundgarden -- Apt. I would hope for something a great deal more cheerful, but apt!
How does the world see you?
One Toke Over the Line by Brewer and Shipley-- Well, I can see that. Most people think there's something wrong with me, at least.
Will you have a happy life?
Stay by Lisa Loeb -- Insert your own Magic 8 Ball premonition here.
What do your friends really think of you?
We Danced Anyway by Deanna Carter -- As far as songs go, this is one that I can most certainly live with; it's fun and bright and if people saw me like this, I could live with that.
Do people secretly lust after you?
Rockin' in the Free World by Mike McClure -- I have no idea how to interpret that.
How can I make myself happy?
You Are the Woman by Firefall -- Find myself a woman I've always dreamed of? Oh, let it be that easy!
What should you do with your life?
Get Out the Map by Indigo Girls -- Okay, so I fudged on this one. It was originally "Suite for Anna Magdalena Notebook" by Bach, but, um, didn't think that counted. So I skipped it. This was seriously the next one. And I think it works. I want to travel, get away from people I know for a while... so yeah. That is what I want to do with my life. Glad to know a completely random meme seconds my lifelong goals and dreams. Comforts me in those long, doubting winter nights.
Will you ever have children?
Young by Nickel Creek -- Either this means I will have young one day or will remain forever young. Please let it be the latter.

Date: 2007-08-07 09:01 pm (UTC)I actually just like the song + water + pretty, interesting animals. It was a combination not unlike the idea of a Ferris wheel, cotton candy, and snowcones.
Pretend you're about three years old and are entertained by bright, shiny colors and bright, shiny music and you have my reaction to that commercial.
