Let's Do the Time Warp Again from the Rocky Horror Picture Show (movie version).

Got my grade on my paper that I was rather snarky on and pointed out how wrong he was--50/50.

I really wish I had your teacher. So much effort for my classes. :( I think I may have to drop my government class. I don't understand her gradebook and so I'm not sure of the grade I have in the class. Like, she has something that was a disscussion prompt listed as both a disscussion grade and a dropbox grade and I only have a grade for the discussion part of it. I'm so lost. :(

Yay! Time Warp. :D

OK, so the link to Time Warp goes to your journal. Thought you should know. :)

This is undoubtedly a stupid question, but have you asked her?

Or is she a really mean teacher? Because you may have an A in the class and not even realize it.

No, not a stupid question. I've been trying to figure it out myself so I haven't asked her yet but I'm going to tomorrow when I get onto the eclassroom.

And, see, that's the thing with these online classes- you can't really tell if they're a mean teacher or not and the teacher can't tell if you're really trying or not, etc. They just bother me; I feel like I'm not learning anything, but then, that's my rant. I like the traditional lecture style classroom. I think that's what I'm going to do next semester and forget online classes.

Ah, yeah. Just shoot her an email or something saying you're concerned you're not doing your best and would like to know how you stand as is and what you can work on, etc. That usually works.

And I get that--difference was, I didn't really care. ;) Go you for being all really wanting to learny and stuff. I don't know. I've gotten kind of apathetic about school in general. Just want to get through with it as quickly as possible. Try not to take my example.

Alright. I'll make sure to say something like that.

Well, it's not that I want to be really "learny", it's that I'm not internally motivated enough for an internet class. I decide LJ is much more fun then going to class and doing stuff there. And with a normal classroom type setting, you can talk with the teacher, develop a rapport (sometimes having some sort of communication with the teacher will catch you some slack), and (not being a suck up or anything) most teachers really like me, regardless of whether I like them or whether I suck up or not, because I don't. (And apparently my language centers don't work when I just wake up...)

You know, I've heard a lot of people say that?

I think the reason I liked online classes so well was because I like getting things done all at once, so I would just do all the assignments ahead of time and finish early. You can't always do that in a regular classroom, so I end up getting frustrated and losing interest halfway through the semester.

LOL. Neither do mine.

You couldn't do that with my classes. My professors don't tell you what the discussion prompt is going to be until the week of that discussion. Also, my english teacher doesn't release the tests until the day she wants to you take them and lets them stay up for a total of 2 days. So inconvient. lol

Scratch that. They don't work period. >.< *sigh*

Ugh.

I lucked out with the discussion bits, but yeah, my professors did that with the tests. I actually dropped a psych class because the teacher wanted you to do the test like, the HOUR he posted it.

I'm like, "The point of online classes is that they're FLEXIBLE."

Exactly.

So I shot my professor an email last night. I'm about to go see if she's replied back yet. Eek. lol
